Federico Beauty Institute Announces a New Cosmetology Curriculum!
The beauty industry is one in which clients are always on the lookout for the latest thing, so it is crucial to stay current with the hair, makeup and skin services that people are interested in. Federico Beauty Institute is giving students a chance to accomplish this via a new cosmetology curriculum that centers on getting graduates ready for productive careers.
When Pivot Point International released a new version of their Designer's Approach program, Federico Beauty Institute started investigating how their own curriculum should be changed. Federico employs the world-famous curriculum as the foundation of its cosmetology program, putting in a few of their own techniques along with it.
"This was the perfect chance to look at our curriculum. We emphasized services that are being done presently in the salons and spent less time on techniques that are not used as much today," Jeremy Federico, President of Federico Beauty Institute, explained.
"We teach our students blow drying, styling and finishing techniques, instead of concentrating only on cuts and coloring techniques. When they can provide a client with a perfect blow dry and style, they are ensuring that their clients leave the salon feeling pretty," Pam Knight, Director of Education stated.
Federico Beauty Institute is also giving students more chances for advanced education with this latest curriculum. Students have the chance to join in advanced hair cutting and hair coloring courses. Soon they will be able to attend hair extension and editorial styling courses. Those enrolled in the editorial styling class will be taught how to do camera-ready work and start building their portfolios.
Federico's study abroad programs afford students the chance to obtain advanced training in locations throughout the world. Along with Pivot Point International, Federico students go to a foreign country for around a week, visiting the city and taking courses at an international Pivot Point locale.
