Federico Beauty Institute Helps a Student Reach a Top 200 Salon!
The training and atmosphere at Federico Beauty Institute offers students the opportunity to train in a practical, positive setting. Graduates of the Federico Beauty Institute frequently get jobs in exclusive salons and spas where they utilize all of their extensive training on a daily basis. In December of 2009, Tabitha Claiborne graduated from Federico Beauty Institute, and she is currently working at one of the 200 best salons listed by Salon Today Magazine.
While Tabitha was a student at FBI, she pursued every opportunity offered to her from the school. She finished advanced cutting and color training, gaining experience with these techniques during her externship at a first class salon. FBI offered Tabitha the opportunity to take part in advanced education classes in San Francisco, help out at hair shows, and take part in classes taught by former teachers from Vidal Sassoon. This thorough training and accessibility to leaders of the industry helped Tabitha get the education she needed to be a success in the beauty industry and get a job as a stylist at Misbehavin Spa and Salon in Walla Walla, Washington.
Salon Today Magazine rated Misbehavin Spa and Salon on the Best 200 Salons in America list. Ranking salons and spas throughout the country, Salon Today Magazine recognizes salon expansion and top business practices. Being on this top 200 list is a real honor, and Tabitha got a job with a salon on this list only a month following her graduation. She gives credit to FBI for providing her with the training she required to get a job and be successful in the advanced training program with which she is now involved at the salon.
Tabitha declared, "As the salon educator explained, I am moving quicker than any of the other associates."
It was more than just the broad education that Tabitha acquired that has aided her career thus far. Her objectives were also more easily accomplished with the state board preparation and career services provided by Federico to every student. Although Tabitha confesses that the state board examination is not simple, she thinks that her training with FBI gave her the help she needed to pass it on the first attempt.
"I was thoroughly ready for every procedure and had no doubt as to the fact that what I was doing was correct. I passed the test and I'm grateful to Federico for making me practice the state board preparation during the whole course of my education,” she said.
She is thankful that there were career services offered. The personnel at FBI assisted her in putting together a resume as well as documentation for the advanced education she acquired at the school. They also assisted her in getting ready for interviews, which allayed some of the fears she was having about looking for a job.
Tabitha states "It was a great feeling to be able to walk into an interview with documentation of all the advanced training I had already received during my training at Federico."
Federico Beauty Institute is quite pleased with the commitment and passion that Tabitha has shown during her schooling and at the beginning of her new job. Tabitha is thankful for FBI and the opportunities they gave her.
"In my case, it was truly life altering. I remain grateful that I was given the chance to obtain an advanced education, which has provided me with the skills, and experience I required to launch a winning career. I feel so honored that I was able to finish my schooling at a place which I would call the 'finest of the finest.'"
